Dear CLTP Friends and Family,

Our organization uses the following Values to help us in our decision-making process:

                1.  Safe in All Ways

                2.  Committed to Professional Quality

                3.  Respect for People, Process, and the Theatre

                4.  Driven by Passionate Volunteers

It is with these values as a guide that the CLTP Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to modify the programming in our 91st season due to the COVID-19 crisis.  With the safety of our volunteers and patrons in mind, it has been determined that now is not the best time to produce Mamma Mia! God of Carnage or The Dead Guy.  Each show has production requirements  that CLTP feels we would be unable to reach at this time, and that we would be unable  to produce the shows in a manner that would be safe for our volunteers and patrons.  Additionally, it would be difficult for us to reach the level of quality with these particular shows that our patrons have come to expect.

Our out of season production of The Dead Guy will not be replaced.  However, two shows have been selected to replace Mamma Mia! and God of Carnage that we believe we can produce with a high level of quality, and that will keep our volunteers and patrons safe:

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)

by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, Jess Winfield

Directed by Audrey Mayfield

September 18th – October 11th

Mary Godfrey Playhouse

All 37 plays in 97 minutes! Three madcap men in tights weave their wicked way through all of Shakespeare's comedies, histories, and tragedies in one wild ride that will leave you breathless and helpless with laughter. An irreverent, fast-paced romp through the Bard's plays, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)  was London's longest-running comedy.

Love Letters

By A.R. Gurney

November 6th – 15th

Mary Godfrey Playhouse

A unique and imaginative theatre piece comprised of letters exchanged over a lifetime between two people who grew up together, went their separate ways, but continued to share confidences. As the actors read the letters aloud, what is created is an evocative, touching, frequently funny but always telling pair of character studies in which what is implied is as revealing and meaningful as what is actually written down.

Please check our website for specific information on dates and times for these productions.  Season tickets will be honored.  If you have any questions please contact our box office at 307-638-6543 or email cltpinfo@cheyennelittletheatr.org

During these unprecedented times, our organization has had  to make very difficult decisions. All of our decisions have been made with the safety of our volunteers and patrons, and the sustainability of our organization in mind.  Thank YOU for your ongoing support, and we hope to see you at the theatre!

CLTP VOLUNTEERS

WAITING IN THE WINGS

Please consider a donation to ensure we can continue providing theatrical opportunities for both our volunteers and patrons

BE OUR GUEST!!

This past season was the 90th season for Cheyenne Little Theatre Players (CLTP). Having been founded in 1930 during the Great Depression, Cheyenne Little Theatre Players has learned to persevere through many hardships; wars, depressions, floods and tornadoes.  We have always been very lucky to have the support of the people of SE Wyoming, NE Colorado and SW Nebraska.

Our 90th Season started with a bang—the largest production CLTP has ever produced, and our audiences loved the classic Disney story of Beauty and the Beast. If you were lucky enough to experience the “Be Our Guest” number, you’ll remember the confetti that blew out from numerous cannons all over the audience. And of course, the pictures of little girls getting to meet our Belle and The Beast after each performances’ curtain call.

Unfortunately, some of our later productions were cut short and even cancelled due to the COVID-19 closures of all theatres. Having two theatre buildings to keep going, the Mary Godfrey Playhouse and the Historic Atlas Theatre, our limited resources are stretched as far as they can go.

We are asking during these difficult times that you think about donating to Cheyenne Little Theatre so we can continue—for the next 90 years—producing quality productions for everyone in the tri-state area of Southeastern Wyoming, Northern Colorado and Western Nebraska.
